Romance writers were shocked to see a program hosted by their trade association that promoted using AI in the writing process, and the organization is doing damage control in the fallout.

Hosted by the Idaho-based Coeur Du Bois chapter of Romance Writers of America (CDC RWA), the program, titled “From Meet-Bot to AI-Do: Crafting Romances in the Realm of AI,” was set to take place on Zoom on March 2, according to the description of the program, but it was removed from the site in the last day.
