An alleged hacker from Detroit who bought a wealth of stolen credentials from an underground data market also pledged allegiance to ISIS and told FBI informants he wanted to create a tech arm for the terrorist organization, according to court records reviewed by 404 Media.

In February 2023, Jibreel Pratt told FBI confidential human sources, who he believed to be travel facilitators for ISIS, that he wanted to leave America because “these people are savages. Like rabid dogs,” and pledged allegiance to the organization. He reached out to these people using WhatsApp, the records say. He provided plans on how to use suicide drones and remote control cars armed with explosives, according to court records. He also allegedly sent cryptocurrency payments to fund what he thought were ISIS operations.
